I'm going to be doing a portrait photo shoot this thursday.  It'll be the first time working with a model.  I'll admit, I'm a little nervous.  When you're out and about snapping photos of the city and landscape you can mess up and spend a lot of time adjusting your settings without holding up anyone's time or looking foolish.  The same can't be said when working with a model, make up artist, and who ever else will be present at the studio.

If anyone has advice on how to work with a model or general studio shooting tips, I'd be much obliged!

Thanks,
-Avi

Ah, I can understand that. Just remember, the shooting of a model can be just the same if you treat it that way! If the model trusts you as the photographer, then you are obviously the one qualified for the job. Don't worry about it, you will do great! :) Good luck, you have all the skills you need!

That's very true. It is a group between the photographer, model, and everyone else involved. Guess I should stop living in my head! Thanks for the advice!
