This is my first real model shoot! Woot!
These pics feature the lovely Afiya Hypolite. She needed some full body pin-up pics for a casting call and I needed some experience working with a model. So things worked out for the both of us!
One of the things I learned from this shoot is that planning is key. Talking with the model and figuring out what you're going to shoot before you arrive is essential. Too bad I didn't do any of that.
The pics came out ok but not nearly as good as I wanted them. I didn't have a clear idea of the kinds of poses or moods I wanted in the shots and due to my poor planning the location we shot in was terrible. Horrible lighting and waht was suppose to be a white wall turned out to be wood grain panels.... Also it was only until the end of the shoot did I realize I was shooting on a higher ISO than I needed which made all the pics have that ugly grain too them. sigh....
Next time I'm going in with a plan and booking an actual studio!
Shot with a Nikon D5100 and alternating with a 50mm prime lens to a 34-18 mm lens
If you're a model in the Toronto and is interested in collaborating with a newb, send me a note!
More drawing stuff coming soon!!!!
